POSITION: CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (COO)

LOCATION: Head Office

REPORTING TO: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will provide strategic leadership for the Scheme’s Marketing
and Operations functions. The successful candidate will drive membership growth through
innovative marketing initiatives while ensuring operational excellence, service efficiency, and
sustainable business expansion. The role is responsible for aligning operational processes with
corporate objectives and enhancing customer experience through effective service delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement comprAehensive marketing strategies, including digital
marketing, social media, and partnership campaigns to drive membership growth.

• Lead and manage operational activities to ensure efficient claims administration, member
services, and business processes.

• Identify market opportunities and develop strategies for penetration into underserved
markets and regions.

• Coordinate membership acquisition, retention, and customer engagement initiatives with
Relationship Management and Sales teams.

• Manage Third-Party Administrator (TPA) clients and spearhead portfolio expansion
initiatives.

• Monitor operational performance metrics and oversee the implementation and optimization
of the Claims Management ERP System.

• Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare marketing regulations and industry
standards.

• Prepare periodic operational and marketing performance reports for Management and the
Board.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a
related discipline.

• Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field will be an added advantage.• Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience in marketing and operations management, preferably within the health insurance, healthcare, or financial services sector.

• Demonstrated experience in business development, customer acquisition, and operational
management.

• Proficiency in digital marketing tools, Google Analytics, HubSpot, and related platforms.

• Achieve a minimum 25% year-on-year membership growth.

• Deliver marketing campaigns with a minimum ROI of 300%.

• Improve operational efficiency through a minimum 20% reduction in process cycle times.

• Maintain customer acquisition costs within approved thresholds and retention rates above 95%.

• Increase brand visibility and social media engagement by at least 30%.
